West Hill Land Company
The West Hill Land Company was created in 1877 when John Ogden, a local business owner and landowner, died. He willed a tract of land to form the new real estate company. The Company owned the land between Swarthmore Ave, College Ave, and the borough’s boundary. It was the first development company in the area, and was one of the original tracts to create the borough in 1893.
